Mizoho is a mobile app for sole traders and freelancers who need to log income and expenses without a spreadsheet. Below are the 11 services we run, what each one covers and what it costs. Support requests are normally answered within 24 hours.
Record each payment as it arrives: amount, client name, invoice reference and date. Entries can be edited later, split across several jobs or marked as pending. Recurring retainers can be set once and repeat monthly, so a regular client does not need to be typed in again every four weeks.
£4.99 per monthEnter a purchase in a few taps and pick a category such as travel, tools, software or phone. The app keeps a running total per category for the tax year, which starts on 6 April. You can also mark an item as partly personal, so only the business share is counted in your totals.
£2.50 per monthTake a picture of a paper receipt and attach it to the matching expense. Images are compressed on the device, tied to the entry and stored in your account. Each file can be opened, renamed or removed. This avoids a drawer of faded till rolls when it is time to check a figure.
£3.99 per monthAdd business journeys with start point, destination and distance in miles. The app multiplies the distance by the rate you choose and files the result under travel. A saved list of regular routes, for example a depot in Leeds to a client site, lets you repeat a trip with a single tap.
£3.50 per monthThe default category list suits most trades, but you can rename, merge or add your own. A photographer may want separate lines for kit hire and printing; a tutor may need one for course materials. Categories can be archived instead of deleted, so older entries stay intact and totals remain unchanged.
£1.99 per monthAt the end of each month the app builds a plain statement: total income, total expenses and the difference. Figures are listed by category and compared with the previous month. There are no decorative charts to interpret. You can export the statement as a PDF to keep with your own records.
£2.99 per monthA running view of the current tax year, from 6 April to 5 April, showing income received and allowable costs entered so far. The app gives an estimate of profit based on your own entries only. It does not file anything on your behalf or replace advice from an accountant.
£9.00 per yearSet a due date against an unpaid invoice and the app sends a notification on the day, plus one three days earlier if you ask for it. Overdue items are listed in one place with the amount owed and the client name, so chasing late payments is a short task, not a hunt through messages.
£1.99 per monthDownload all entries for any date range as a CSV file that opens in common spreadsheet programs. Columns include date, type, category, amount and notes. Many users send this file to their bookkeeper once a quarter. Exporting is read-only, so nothing in your account changes when you do it.
£2.50 per monthEntries are saved to your account and copied to a second device on request, so a lost or replaced phone does not erase your records. Access is protected by a passcode or fingerprint on the handset. You can delete your account and stored data at any time from the settings screen.
£4.99 per monthA 45-minute video or phone call with one of our 20 staff, who walk through installation, categories and your first week of entries. It suits people moving over from paper books or a spreadsheet. We can import a simple CSV of past figures during the call, if you have one ready.
£15.00 one-offTell us what kind of work you do and how many invoices you issue in a typical month. We will suggest a short list and reply within 24 hours.
